MTB handlebars: the component intended for piloting
The
MTB handlebar is the component that differentiates a bike between the different types of disciplines. The road bike handlebar is curved and allows several control options, in BMX the handlebar has a really high rise to make extensions easier, while in MTB the handlebar is wide and rather flat.
The MTB handlebar is a peripheral like the seatpost: it supports the arms of the rider, especially to control a mountain bike. You'll control your bike with your MTB handlebar. The handlebar is fixed on the stem that links it to the fork.
