Selle Italia, a reference in bicycle saddle
The history of the Selle Italia brand dates back to 1897 when they manufactured saddles for bicycles, which were the main mode of transport at the time.
From 1970, the car took over and the bicycle became a means of doing sport rather than a way of getting around. The Bigolin family then took over the management of Selle Italia and began to develop high-end saddles by focusing on innovation and the use of new manufacturing techniques with high-performance materials. All these efforts have propelled the brand to the top position in the bicycle saddle market. All new saddles are tested by pilots, their feedback on the products allows the research and development department to constantly improve and manufacture ever more comfortable and efficient saddles.
Since 2016, Selle Italia has initiated a partnership relationship with the Selle San Marco brand, also one of the oldest bicycle saddle brands in Italy. The two brands aim to share their know-how and work together in the field of research and development in order to develop their brand.
